Volume 1, Issue 8
Our Global Partner, Reid Saunders Association has their ribbon cutting ceremony and open house for the new ACTS Center For Global Evangelism on September 10 at 10 am. You are invited to the Ribbon Cutting at 10 am and then an open house to tour the building at any time throughout the day. This is a dream come true as RSA can now have their offices, teaching/training classrooms, meeting space, storage, recording studio, and more all in one location allowing them to steward their resources & time better. They will also be able to focus more on training up the next generation of evangelists here and around the world.

Our Global Partner, Dave Irby is heading to Liberia from Sept 12-23rd as part of his ongoing work with Surge Soccer. During this trip, he’ll continue supporting local communities by combining soccer with leadership training and educational programs. His focus in Liberia is on empowering youth through sports while also fostering spiritual growth and development. This trip is part of his broader mission to bring hope and positive change to areas in need by engaging with local communities through the power of sports.

Our Global Partner, Mike Silva’s upcoming trip to Seoul, South Korea from September 21-26, 2024 is part of his “Ignite Tour,” a global initiative focused on outreach, leadership training, and evangelism. The Seoul event is a key stop on the tour, where Silva and his team will work closely with local communities to empower leaders and share their faith.
This trip will be in conjunction with the Lausanne Movement’s gathering of the 4th Congress in Incheon, South Korea. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
What is Lausanne?
Beginning in 1974, Billy Graham convened the First Lausanne Congress, in Lausanne, Switzerland, uniting the global church around the unfinished task of the Great Commission. Together with 2,400 mission-minded participants from 150 nations, a movement was born. The Lausanne Covenant was introduced at this first congress, and it still unites believers around the world on God’s mission today. World mission was reignited by focusing on unreached people groups and the pressing need for the gospel to go to where it had never gone before. – www.Lausanne.org

From Mike- “Believe it or not, I attended one of those global gatherings for Itinerate Evangelists back in July of 1983,” dad said. “How I miraculously got invited to attend that event is quite a story!” he laughed. “But while I was there was when I first heard about the Lausanne Conference—which is a selective, invitation-only event for global evangelism. It has been on my bucket list ever since! This year’s conference will be held in Korea and it’s only the fourth Congress since its inception in 1974.”

To learn more about the significance of this particular trip for Mike, read August’s newsletter HERE – Side note from me, Pastor Jared – I highly recommend reading this as I believe you will be encouraged by God’s provision & plans for Mike through the years and also realize He has a perfect plan for you as well.
Our Local Partner, Salem for Refugees is reaching out to the Salem community to find families willing to house a New Neighbor. The “New Neighbor” program is a core initiative of Salem for Refugees, a volunteer-based organization in Salem, Oregon, focusing on resettling and supporting refugees. This program is part of a broader effort by the organization to welcome and assist refugees as they adjust to life in a new country.
