Global Partner: Dave Irby Q&A Lunch

Sunday, February 16, 1 pm, South Auditorium

Dave is the founder of Surge International, an organization that helps build bridges where there used to be barriers. Sports have the power to unite countries and cultures that may not have anything in common other than their love of the game of soccer. Through their international work with locals in Peru, Liberia, Burundi, Mexico, Bolivia, Austria and more they are able to bring the Good News to people in need.

You are invited to have lunch with Dave and hear amazing stories of God’s faithfulness through adversity and adventure. You’ll be able to ask questions and get to know Dave on a level you may have not had the opportunity to before!

We’re thrilled to partner with Frontiers ministries for a citywide missions conference called Catalyze Salem. We believe that God is drawing people to himself from every nation, tribe, people, and language, and He is inviting you to participate in that work. Muslims are the Largest group of people in the world who don’t know Jesus (1.6 Billion), and have the fewest missionaries (3%) reaching out to Muslims. Frontiers is answering the call to equip people to engage these least reached people groups.

Catalyze is for followers of Jesus who want to take a step toward engaging Muslim people with the gospel. It will give you practical and immediate next steps, long-term vision, and tools to frame praying, sending, and going. You will get to learn from experienced speakers and field workers and interact with other like-minded believers who yearn for God to receive glory in the Muslim world.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Why over 1000 Muslim people groups have no access to the Good News and how that’s shaped the vision of our organization.
  • How disciple-making movements are sweeping through the Muslim world for the first time in history!
  • What your potential road to the field could look like.
  • Practical outreach and discipleship tools so that you can share the love of Jesus Christ with your Muslim friends.

Our Global Partners Scott and Christian are part of the team from around the world who are putting on this conference.

Church, that is an amazing number. This is something to praise the Lord for because God was doing amazing things in our church family through this season. In addition to completed Kits (included 10 Kits from our high school small groups). almost $2000 was donated to creating more Kits. Our middle schoolers were able to raise enough money to provide nine welcome meals for new families and our grade schoolers were able to collect enough change to do an entire kit on their own. Thank you, Whether you contributed a lot or a little, every amount helped show our new neighbors the tangible love of Jesus!

Thank you for your care and obedience to love the foreigner among you as yourselves, for you were foreigners in Egypt (Leviticus 19:33-34).

We can’t wait to see how the Lord uses the Season of Giving this next year!
